Bhajan, in two scripts
In development
Original devotional songs, set so they can be read in Devanagari and in Roman Hindi — for people who want to sing and do not read the script.
The situation
A lyric that cannot be read will not be sung. Many readers who love the material read Latin letters more easily than Devanagari. The project has to honour the language and still open the page.
The idea
Write original texts, not copies of existing songs. Pair the scripts. Think, at the same time, about a small reading tool and about a publishable edition — words, design, and production as one brief.
What we created
- Original lyrics, still being written
- A reading format: script beside transliteration
- A path toward an application and a published edition
The experienceIn development. Not a released book, and not a released app. The lines on this page are an original fragment, shown only as a sample of the reading idea.
धीरे बोलो, मन शान्त रहे।
Dhire bolo, man shaant rahe.
Speak slowly. Let the mind stay quiet.
